CASA Program Goals

  • To appoint a trained community volunteer advocate for each child brought to Juvenile Court because of allegations involving
    abuse or neglect.
  • To train, support, supervise, and equip each volunteer advocate with the skills and resources needed to work towards a safe, permanent home for each child.
  • To enhance judicial decision making by providing thorough and accurate information in the case of each child. The CASA
volunteer will make recommendations to the court for the "best interest" of the child.
  • To train volunteer advocates by requiring the volunteer to visit the child at least twice each month, to ensure the child remains
    in a safe environment.
  • To make a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children.
